Mark Making
ASSIGNMENT 3
I realize that the world is bigger than we thought. There are many unique stuff around us every day but because of our hectic life, we neglected them, not appreciating them. Through this assignment, I started to notice all the things around me. All the textures, unique patterns and surfaces are part of the design. From the explorations that I did, I learned to use different techniques to explore and create new things.
Before I started to DIY my mark making book, I did 4 mock-ups, simply by using unuse papers and left over materials.
Mark making reminds me of the ancient mark making and of course the movie, Harry Potter! I found the mark makings from the ancient history more interesting than the current ones. Thus, I themed up my final book as if it's an ancient unexplainable secret book. I compiled the white and black marks by adding some interactive elements.
